ID Addicts

The superfan home for Investigation Discovery: one microsite pulling the network's true-crime slate into a single place to follow, binge, and belong

The Problem

Investigation Discovery had a genuinely devoted audience, fans the network itself called "ID Addicts," but its true-crime slate was spread across scattered pages that gave that loyalty nowhere to gather. The shows needed one home: a single place that pulled the whole slate together and gave a superfan a reason to keep coming back between episodes.

The Work

I designed the ID Addicts microsite and the show artwork that filled it, tuning each piece to investigation-network true crime while holding one house system.

  • One destination that lined up the ID slate in a single scrollable view, so a fan could move from one show to the next without leaving the page.
  • Title treatments and key art across the network's true-crime series, each built to its own show but keyed to the same dark, evidentiary language.
  • A system restrained enough to hold a dozen-plus shows together and specific enough that each one still read as itself.

Impact

The site gave Investigation Discovery's fans a single place to gather and gave the network one consistent face for a slate that had been scattered. A loyal audience that used to be spread across a dozen orphaned pages finally had one address, and a reason to keep showing up between episodes.
